Day 1

Arrival at Rovaniemi and transfer to Luosto for your first nights accommodation in traditional log wood cabins. Dinner will be enjoyed at the local log wood restaurant where you will meet your guide and the rest of the group to discuss the week ahead. Accommodation in log wood cabins with private facilities (twin share basis)

Day 2

Route: Luosto - Raudanjoki - Visatupa (27 miles)

After breakfast we will depart for our first day of cycling. We will start along fairly easy tarmac roads, which narrow between Raudanjoki and Visatupa.Along the way we will stop for some lunch and a rest at the local artist café. After lunch we will continue towards our destination today - Visatupa, where we will be accommodated overnight amongst beautiful country scenery on a living farm.We will enjoy a hearty home made dinner cooked by our hostess and afterwards there is a possibility to try a traditional sauna with a swim in a nearby lake. Accommodation in modest private rooms (twin share basis) with shared facilities (toilets and showers in the hall)

Day 3

Route:Visatupa - Seipajarvi - Unari (32 miles)

After breakfast we will cycle along narrow hilly tarmac road, which gradually changes into a gravel forest road. We will stop for lunch and a rest on the banks of a beautiful forest river, surrounded by unspoilt wilderness. We continue towards a local farm where you will get to know farm life and meet the inhabitants of the farm; goats, calves, hens, cats and dogs.A visit to a goat’s cheese factory is included, and there is the possibility of purchasing local produce, such as goat’s cheese, berries and homemade handicrafts.We will then continue towards Unari for our overnight stop. Our accommodation is arranged in a comfortable lakeside cottage. The lake is ideal for enjoying swimming in these clear waters, alternatively try canoeing or rowing on the lake. In the evening we will enjoy a hearty home cooked meal. Sauna is available for those who wish. Accommodation in comfortable private rooms (twin share basis) with shared facilities (toilets and showers in the hall)

Day 4

Route: Unari - Niesi - Tiainen - Korvala (24 miles)

After breakfast we will continue on our way. Along the route we will visit the spectacular Kongas rapids of Unari, and continue on through Lappish countryside. Overnight accommodation will be in lakeside cottages in the area of Korvala. Here you will experience the magic of true Lappish countryside and enjoy a meal - all local produce of course.The lake is ideal for canoeing, boating or swimming and there is a sauna available for those who wish.The surrounding area also has well marked paths for hiking or jogging. Accommodation in cottages with private facilities (twin share basis)

Day 5

Route: Korvala - Vuojarvi - Huttujarvi - Pyhajarvi (34 miles)

After breakfast we leave the village behind and head towards lake areas, at first cycling along the E4 highway (this is one of the major roads in Lapland - yet very different from a highway as we know it!).We will then continue on sand/ shingle roads and finally along a forest road to Huttujarvi and Lake Pyha. Here our accommodation is arranged in comfortable cabins in this delightful holiday village on the shores of the crystal clear waters of Lake Pyha. Evening meal is enjoyed at the local restaurant, followed by a sauna and swim for those who wish. Accommodation in quality cabins with private facilities (twin share basis)

Day 6

Route: Pyhajarvi - Suvanto (22 miles)

After breakfast we start by cycling in the vicinity of the Pyhatunturi fell area - an area of outstanding natural beauty and old forests.We will continue towards the Old Heritage Village of Suvanto, one of the only few villages in Lapland which survived WW2 intact - here you will find old peasant buildings dating back to 16th Century.We will stop overnight in this idyllic riverside village, accommodated in modest, traditional log cabins. Evening meal will be enjoyed in the village restaurant.Afterwards there is the opportunity to enjoy sauna and swimming for those who wish. Accommodation in traditional log cabins with private facilities (twin share basis)

Day 7

Route: Suvanto - Luosto (22 miles)

After breakfast we will enjoy a leisurely paced cycling trip back to Luosto along the River Kitinen - taking in the stunning countryside on the peaceful riverfront.

Evening meal will be enjoyed at the local log wood restaurant and accommodation is arranged in traditional log wood cabins in the village. If you wish, you can still visit the local husky or reindeer farm, enjoy a leisurely walk in the beautiful surroundings of Luosto fell scenery, or just relax with a sauna in your cabin! Accommodation in traditional log wood cabins with private facilities (twin share basis)

Day 8

After breakfast transfers to Rovaniemi for your flight back home.
